Shingles get cleaned, scraped and repaired before any paint goes on. It is the slow part of the job, and the part that decides how long the paint lasts.

Project
One house, several jobs that had to look like one. The shingles, trim and doors were prepped and repainted, the existing pergola and deck out back were refinished to match, and a horizontal redwood fence with black steel posts went in along the brick walk.

The shingles, the arched portico, the blue front door and the garage gable were painted as one plan, so every face of the house reads the same.

Behind the house, the existing white pergola over the French doors and the deck under it were refinished, the deck in gray-blue. The whites match the trim out front, so the back of the house reads as part of the same job.

Horizontal redwood boards between black steel posts, with lanterns on the posts and a walk gate in the same pattern. Built by our own crew.
